Olivia Cox Releases New Song “Paris”
Belfast-based singer-songwriter Olivia Cox released a brand new song “Paris” on February 7, 2025.
The song is her first single of 2025, following “Stupid Love” released last November.
Initially not intended for release, the track was crafted with a sense of creative liberation.
Olivia Cox describes the track as “a lover girl journey”.
The track was written by Olivia Cox and produced by Aaron Brennan and Daniel Seacroft.
Olivia Cox said of the song, “I fell in love with the beat as soon as my producer played it to me, and I knew I needed to do it justice. It is so cool and unique, unlike anything I'd ever written before. With 'Paris' being such a new sound for me, I felt free to experiment and truly have fun while writing and recording it.”- She continued, “It wasn't until the guys told me that it was too good not to release as a single that I even considered it. I'm so glad they did because it's such a new sound from me, and I truly believe my fans will love it. It's definitely my favorite song I've written so far.”
The track was inspired by Camila Cabello's “C,XOXO Magic City Edition” and Addison Rae's “Diet Pepsi”.
Olivia Cox added, “I was loving the way they used adlibs and layers to add character to their songs. I wanted to capture that same magic-something fun and immersive that takes listeners into another world for two minutes, like reading a page straight from my diary.” - source : Apple Music
