The WAEVE Announces New EP “Eternal”, Premieres New Song “Love Is All Pain” on BBC Radio 6
London-based post-punk duo The WAEVE, consisting of Graham Coxon (vocals/guitar) and Rose Elinor Dougall (vocals/keyboards), has announced their new EP “Eternal” will be released on March 14, 2025 via Transgressive Records.
The EP comprises 3 songs and is the follow up to their 2024 sophomore album “City Lights”.
On The EP, the duo worked with producer James Ford.
From the EP, the dup premiered the first single “Love Is All Pain” on BBC Radio 6 Music with Huw Stephens.
The song is accompanied by the Simeon Leeder-directed music video.
Simeon Leeder filmed it entirely on black-and-white 8mm film, nodding to the post-punk synth-era aesthetic of the late 1980s, on location at Thamesmead around Southmere Lake and a Brutalist estate in South East London.
The song explores the realities of love over throbbing electro synths in the chorus.
The track was written by Graham Coxon, James Ford, and Rose Elinor Dougall. Produced by James Ford.- The duo embarks on 2025 UK tour. The tour kicks off at St. Luke’s in Glasgow on March 16 and will conclude at Trinity, in Bristol on March 21, 2025.
