Perrie Releases New Song “Rollercoaster”
British singer-songwriter and former Little Mix's member Perrie Edwards, aka Perrie is currently working on her debut solo album.
She wrote around 80 songs and recorded them at her home studio. While the album is mostly finished, she's still tweaking it and plans to release it in 2025.
From the album, Perrie released a new song “Rollercoaster” on February 14, 2025.
She first teased the song on social media in 2023. Finally, she released it as a Valentine's Day gift to fan.
The track was written by Finlay Dow-Smith, Jin Jin, Perrie Edwards, and Tom Mann. Produced by Starsmith.
Perrie told Euphoria Magazine about the song, “It's very '90s, like Mariah vibes. It's about no matter what life throws at us, I'll just ride the fucking waves with you. Axel (her husband) is obsessed with it. That's his favourite.”- She said of the album in an interview with Euphoria Magazine, “At the moment, I'm just enjoying trying everything and seeing how it does. It's fun to switch it up. My idea of hell is someone getting my album being like, 'Oh, have you heard her album? Every track sounds the same.' I do not want that. That bores me. I want people to feel 'I wanna be picked up,' 'I wanna dance,' then 'I wanna cry,' and then 'I wanna take you back up again.' I think as far as genres go, there are influences of pop, a little bit of rock, a hint of punk, and a bit of country. I love it so much because it takes you on a journey. It's not just mediocre whatever.”
