Damiano David Covers Mark Ronson & Miley Cyrus' “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart”
Italian rock band Måneskin lead singer Damiano David released a cover of British record producer Mark Ronson and American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus' “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” on January 29, 2025.
The song was released as part of the Spotify Singles series for Valentine's Day.
The original version of the song was released by Mark Ronson, featuring Miley Cyrus from his fifth studio album “Late Night Feelings” in 2018.
The track was written by Mark Ronson, Miley Cyrus, Ilsey Juber, Conor Szymanski, Clément Picard, Maxime Picard, and Thomas Brenneck. The cover version was produced by Fabrizio Ferraguzzo and Enrico Brun.
Damiano David said of the song, “Spotify gave me the opportunity to explore my personal vision of Valentine's Day, I chose 'Nothing Breaks Like a Heart' because it addresses love in its most complex form: passion, pain, and the diversity of those who experience this occasion. Going beyond the surface and tackling the deeper complexity of love, without filters.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Shake Plastik Dreamer.
Damiano Davi said of the video, “Whenever I've had an urgent need to cut a song I've always done it at Ennio's studio, so it was nice to go back and shoot this video and spend some proper time there. It really feels like you're in the presence of an icon there, and especially being in my home of Rome, it always feels very special.” -
