  • Bon Iver Premieres New Song “Everything Is Peaceful Love” on BBC Radio 1

  • American indie folk band Bon Iver, consisting of Justin Vernon (vocals/guitar), Sean Carey (drums), Michael Lewis (guitar), Matthew McCaughan (drums), Andrew Fitzpatrick (guitar), and Jenn Wasner (guitar), premiered a new song “Everything Is Peaceful Love” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.

The song will appear on their upcoming fifth studio album “SABLE, fABLE”, which is set to be released on April 11, 2025 via Jagjaguwar.
It was written and produced by Brandon Burton, James Stack, and Justin Vernon. The accompanying music video was directed by John Wilson.

The band lead singer Justin Vernon told Jack Saunders about the song, “It's a that song is like a score, like a soundtrack to not being able to contain your smile. So it's the opposite of all Bon Iver music that has come up prior to this. It's about complete and utter joy.”
  • He continued, “I built the whole fABLE record around this tune. I made this kind of in one afternoon back in 2019 we kind of put it up on the shelf so I could stare at it and wait for other songs to come along that felt like that, because it was the first time I made a song that had this kind of feeling.”

He added, “Like I said, it's kind of like an uncontainable smile. You ever see a video or something, you'd see somebody when they're not supposed to smile, but they can't help it, or they're gonna, they're gonna start breaking out laughing. It's that feeling where you kind of just like, oh, I can't contain all this joy that I have. And I think that's the feeling I'm hoping to connect with people with.”

  • The new album is their first Lp in six years since the 2019 album “I, I” and comprises 13 songs including the 2024 4-track EP “Sable”.

Justin Vernon said of the album, “It was in the depths of pandemic and big reflection point after touring for 15 years and having a chance to sort of unwind that was my reflection point, and it was the it was the builders, the darkness. And that's what these. That's what this EP and this album, this full album together, is very much, you know, a duality. It's the darkness and then the brightness of fable.”
