Delacey Releases New Song “Lipstick”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Delacey released a brand new song “Lipstick” on February 7, 2025.
The song is the first single of 2025 and follows “Losing A Whole Year”, which was released last November.
She recorded the track in Nashville. The track will appear on her upcoming third studio album.
It was written by Delacey , Nate Campany, and JT Daly who also produced the track.
The accompanying lyric video was directed by Running Bear.
Delacey said of the song, “It started like any other day except Nate wanted to write with me which made it extra special. I was in a pretty weird insecure state as an artist and was giving up on myself for the 100th time but I thought 'hey maybe we'll write for someone else today'. We got some coffee like we always do and then we went into his studio and he showed me his melotron and this song poured out. Nate brings out a lot of magic in everyone but I think especially me hehe.”- She continued, “We traveled to Nashville and brought the unfinished song to JT which of course he turned into the most magical stardust for your ears and blew my mind. That's the long story short version of how it all began. That's the day I started to believe in my art again. This song saved me. I asked them if they would honor me with more songs and we wrote a whole album of my favorite music I've ever ever been a part of.”

Delacey is known a songwriter for many artists such as The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Demi Lovato, Maren Morris, Tate McRae, Gracie Abrams, Anne-Marie, Jonas Brothers and more.
Most recently, she co-wrote Ava Max's “Lost Your Faith”, which was released on February 7, 2025.
In 2024, she co-wrote two songs for the animated motion picture “The Wild Robot”, “Kiss the Sky” and “Even When I'm Not” both performed by Maren Morris.
“Kiss the Sky” won a Hollywood Music In Media Award for Best Original Song, and earned nominations for the Astra Awards, Critics' Choice Awards, and Golden Globe Awards. - source : Apple Music
