Lights Announces New Album “A6”, Shares New Song “ALIVE AGAIN”
Canadian electronic singer-songwriter Lights has announced her upcoming sixth studio album “A6” will be released on May 2, 2025 via Virgin Music.
The album comprises 13 songs, produced by Lights. It is her first album in three years since the 2022 album “Pep”.
From the album, she unveiled a new song “ALIVE AGAIN” on February 7, 2025.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “DAMAGE” released last September.
Set against a hyper-melodic, fast-paced new wave backdrop, the track blends nostalgic sounds with modern energy,
The track was written and produced by Lights. She also directed accompanying music video.
Lights said of the song, “ALIVE AGAIN is kind of a 'last hope' anthem. It’s about the lows we hit and the demons we carry, and how, from that vantage point, we can sometimes gain clarity about what we want from our lives and the people around us.”- She continued, “We all have demons, so we might as well learn to live with them. Or - as the music video depicts - even learn to hang with them (along with a plethora of horror movie references). Much like a lot of my new music, I was able to capture a hyper-melodic, fast-paced new wave feel in the music that provides a nostalgic twist to the whole experience.”
