Ynana Rose Teams Up with Holly Ann Lewis for New Song “Simplify”
American singer-songwriter Ynana Rose is back. She teamed up with American singer-songwriter Holly Ann Lewis to release a new song “Simplify” on January 28, 2025.
This marks the first collaboration between Ynana Rose and Holly Ann Lewis.
For Ynana Rose, the song is her first music in two years since the 2023 album “Under A Cathedral Sky”.
Meanwhile, Holly Ann Lewis joined in the song as her first collaborative single.
The song is a joyful, upbeat folk pop pushback against the grind & simplifying this crazy thing called life. It speaks to the common struggle of being overextended, juggling family, careers, and responsibilities, and the deep need for space to simply breathe.
The pair recorded the track with producer Damon Castillo, who played slide guitar and bass, and Tim Costa on congas.
The track was written by Holly Ann Lewis and Ynana Rose. The accompanying music video was directed by Barry Goyette.- Ynana Rose said of the song, “Drawing from the pressures of our own lives as mothers, wives, and musicians, we crafted a song that taps into a universal truth: life is just too damn busy, and it's time to make space for balance. Here's your reminder that slowing down can be a form of self-care.”
She added, “We wanted the vibe to feel like a breath of fresh air. We used congas and steelpan drums to give it an island Americana feel, which felt like the perfect way to invite some lighthearted joy into the process.” -
