  • British rock band Coldplay, consisting of Chris Martin (vocals/keyboards/rhythm guitar), Jonny Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (bass) and Will Champion (drums), appeared on BBC Radio 2 Piano Room to perform a cover of The Proclaimers' “Sunshine On Leith”, and their latest song “ALL MY LOVE” featuring British singer-songwriter Laura Mvula, alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra, at the BBC's Maida Vale Studios.

The original version of “Sunshine On Leith” was released by Scottish folk rock duo The Proclaimers from their second studio album of the same name in 1988.

The band frontman Chris Martin told BBC about the song, “We wanted to do some with strings. And then this cover that Guy sent me three days ago. He said, listen to this song by The Proclaimers, and I'd never heard it before. And it blew me away. Never heard never heard it before. And then I watched the Hibernian [FC] fans singing it in the terraces, and it just gets me so much that song.”
  • He said of collaboration with Laura Mvula, “She's amazing, and i met we met her through Jacob Collier. Tthere's a sort of group of people in the world that are really hyper talented, and she's one of them. he's one of them. and they all know each other. so they all say, i'm not available. but he might be, or she might be in they sort of descend from on high, and help us simple simpletons. That's what it feels like and then with Laura we asked her to do. Glastonbury be with us because she has this version of a song 'Violet Hill' that we love. And she's just wonderful.”

  • “ALL MY LOVE” is featured on their tenth studio album “Moon Music”. The music video for the song features American actor Dick Van Dyke.

Chris Martin said of the song, “ALL MY LOVE is one of those songs that just arrived in Jamaica, actually, in a studio called Geejam. The same room where 'Unholy' by Sam Smith also arrived. This is an amazing song. And it just came through my fingers I can't explain it. And I like it very much. It's very unconditional love song. And when those arrive, you just have to sort of surrender.”
