LYRA Releases New Song “Freak”
Back in April, 2024, Irish singer-songwriter LYRA released self-titled debut album, which reached No. 1 on the Irish album charts.
Following the album, she release a new song “Freak” as the first single of 2025.
The song is a dirty, sexy and gritty anthem for anyone who needs reminding of their worth.
It was written by Bill Maybury, Dominic Liu (kingdoms), Sean McDonagh, and Dominic Alexander LiuLYRA. Produced by Kingdoms.
LYRA said of the song, “This is a song about being a sexy ass powerful woman. As a woman I have been told 'be sexy but not too sexy' well fuck that. This song is all about the power of a woman’s sexuality. Bring your ego to the dance floor.”
She added, “I’m done writing about my ex. His time has come to an end! This year it’s about me and I’m not going to let anyone tame me.”- She shared in social media, “I can’t even describe how proud I am of this song. Bill Maybury, kingdoms and I wrote it on one of the hottest days of the year and holy hell did we bring the HEAT.”
