Mammal Talk Releases New Song “Ether”
American R&B-pop band Mammal Talk, consisting of Shea Winpigler (vocals), Matt Chase (guitar), Mike Saunders (bass) and Cory Baker (drums), released their third single called “Ether” on January 31, 2025, following “Magic” and “Funk Town”.
The song will appear on their upcoming debut album “Mammal Talk Vol 1”, which is expected to be released in 2025.
The track captures feelings of hopelessness and frustration that resonate universally with hauntingly beautiful vocals and immersive instrumentation.
It acknowledges the weight of the outside world while reminding hope and resilience remain within reach.
The track was written by Cory Baker, Matthew Chase, Michael Legere, and Michael Saunders. Produced by Matt Chase, Mike Saunders, and Cory Baker.
The band recorded the track with Amy Shook on strings, Theljon Allen on trumpet, and Evan Cooper on keyboards at Wright Way Studios in Baltimore.- Co-writer Michael Legere said the inspiration for the song lies in “a place for anger and frustration towards the establishment, the oligarchs, the bad faith actors in our political class.”
The band said of the song, “Songs like these aren't written to bring us down or to make us sad. They give us a chance to look inward.” - source : Apple Music
