Sohodolls Releases New Song “My Religion”
London-based electropop band Sohodolls plans to release their their long-awaited sophomore album in 2025 via Filthy Pretty and A&G Records.
Last November, the band released a mini album “Thread”, including pre-release 8 songs from their new album.
On January 31, the band released a new song “My Religion” from the album.
The track is about a journey through obsession and is inspired by brazen noughties pop.
It was written by Maya von Doll, and produced by Dimitri Tikovoi.
The band lead singer Maya von Doll said of the song, “I had been intrigued by the almost comedic arrogance of some 90s & noughties pop and RnB songs. I thought it might be fun to try to sing like I was a player. So 'My Religion' is as bold as I can get, and it was super fun trying it. I made sure I kept my British accent in the rap section though it was hard as I had always sung along to American rap.”- source : Apple Music
