Mackenzy Mackay Releases New Song “Keeper”
London-based singer-songwriter Mackenzy Mackay released a new song “Keeper” on January 31, 2025 via Arista Records.
The song is the follow-up to “Call Me Yours”, which was released last November.
Sonically, the song features predominantly electric guitar and drums sounds unlike his previous songs.
The track is born directly from personal experience and is a candid love song to his future wife.
He met his current partner at school but, despite their spark, neither made the move to take it to a romantic place. Years later when he returned from working abroad, the pair took the plunge as a romantic couple, no longer denying what they both wanted.
Mackenzy Mackay wrote the song with producer Eddie Allen.
Mackenzy Mackay said of the song, “It feels like a very nice mixture of what I love: leaning slightly into more 'live sounding' instruments like the live drums and guitar, with a little more drive, with the soft meaning of finding someone for your own forever.”- Mackenzy Mackay embarks on his headline tour in the US, UK and Europe. Savanna Leigh and Ally Salort will support the tour.
The tour kicks off at House of Blues in San Diego, CA on February 18th and will conclude at La Maroquinerie in Paris, France on April 7, 2025.
