  • Fight Back Mountain Releases New Song “Sticker Book”

  • St. Louis-based punk band Fight Back Mountain, consisting of Adrian Barnello (vocals/guitar), Anjelica Aquilino (guitar), Andy Kohnen (bass) and Devin Dessieux (drums), released a new song “Sticker Book” on January 30, 2025.

The song is the third and final pre-release single from their upcoming third studio album “Death And The Miser”, which is set to be released on February 13, 2025.
“Sticker Book” stands in striking contrast to previous song “No Recourse”. While the latter placed the band's hardcore influences up front on a raging dispatch against a world going to rot, “Sticker Book” slows the pace and incorporates 90s alt rock influences on a slow burner that steadily drives the emotions home.
The track was written by Anjelica Aquilino and Fight Back Mountain, produced by Gabe Usery.

The band guitarist Anjelica Aquilino said of the song, “I was thinking of my grandma who died of an eating disorder decades before I was born. It instilled a very deep specific feeling when I first heard that story. The song evolved to represent our moments of melancholy that stop us and invoke an undefinable yet specific emotion.”
  • The new album comprises 12 songs, which the band recorded with producer Gabe Usery at Encapsulated Studios in St. Louis.
It is their first album in four years since the 2021 album “Lavender Sky”.
The album lays out a testament to modern life in flyover country and the dawning realization that everything you were told growing up is no longer true.
Lyrics harness the voices of the disillusioned residents of the midwest as opportunities dwindle and infrastructure crumble.

  • Anjelica Aquilino said, “This space is so unpredictable; we go from blizzards, to tornados, to heat waves throughout the year. These unpredictable swings can just make everything feel bigger.”
Lead singer Adrian Barnello added, “St Louis, in its faded glory, and uncertain future, is almost a member of the band”.
