  • Daniel Seavey Announces Debut Solo Album “Second Wind”, Shares Title Track

  • American singer-songwriter and former Why Don't We, Daniel Seavey has announced his debut solo album “Second Wind” will be released on March 7, 2025.

The album is the follow-up to the 2023 7-track EP “Dancing In The Dark” and marks his first release three years after his band Why Don't We went on hiatus.
From the album, he unveiled the title track on January 31, 2025.
The song is the the fifth single off of the album, following “The Older You Get”, “Other People”, “Gateway Drug”, and “If I Ever Get To Heaven”.
It was written by Daniel Seavey, Danny Silberstein, and Noah Conrad. Produced by Noah Conrad and Slimdan.

Daniel Seavey said of the song, “The day this song was made was absolute magic. I made it with my friends noah and dan. We were jamming to arcade fire for the last hour and out of nowhere this song fell straight from the sky to our studio. It became one of my favorite songs ive ever made. There’s so many layers of meaning in this song but one of my favorite meanings is that it’s about all of you. You guys have given me a second chance, a new perspective, a whole new burst of energy - then that thought became the feeling of the whole album - new beginnings, fresh starts, finding yourself and your path - I could go on forever about all that this song means to but I'm most excited to hear what it means to you. Enjoy.”
  • The album comprises 12 songs, inspired by early 2000s pop-rock, produced by Daniel Seavey, Michael Pollack, Ryan Daly, Isaiah Tejada, The Monsters & Strangerz, Ehren Ebbage, Noah Conrad, and Slimdan.

Daniel Seavey said of the album, “2 years in the making and we’re finally here. I have so much to say but most of all I want thank you for taking the time out of your life to care about mine. I’ve always dreamed of making an album that just felt 100% like me from top to bottom and thats exactly what this album is. There’s so much more to say but for now I just want to say thank you so much for sticking by me on this wild journey and I cannot wait for you to hear everything.”

  • Daniel Seavey embarks on Second Wind Tour in support of the album. The tour kicks off at The Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas, TX on March 18th and will conclude at The Powerstation in Auckland, New Zealand on June 17, 2025.

Daniel Seavey said, “When I created this album i built it all around the idea of my live show. I imagined the live rendition for every single song at the same time I was creating the song. you have no idea how excited I am to bring it all to life for you.”
