James Bay Releases New Song “Sunshine In The Room” featuring Jon Batiste
British singer-songwriter and guitarist James Bay joined forces with American singer-songwriter and Jazz pianist Jon Batiste to release a new song “Sunshine In The Room” on January 31, 2025.
This marks the first time James Bay and Jon Batiste have worked together.
For James Bay, the song is the first music since his fourth studio album “Changes All the Time”, which was released last October.
While, Jon Batiste joined in the song after the release of his 2024 album “Beethoven Blues (Batiste Piano Series, Vol. 1)”.
The track was written by James Bay and Jon Green. Produced by Gabe Simon.
James Bay said of the song, “Working with Jon Batiste for 'Sunshine In The Room' is an experience I will never ever forget. He literally burst into the studio like a ray of sunshine and brought so much joy to the sound of the record and the work. He's a total inspiration, and I hope we can work together again. The song is about having someone in your life who truly lights up the room as soon as they walk in.”- He continued, “Jon Batiste is a paragon of pure joy. And when he arrived in the studio to record this song with us, he really brought sunshine into the room.”
Jon Batiste added, “James is such a beautiful soul and a great musician. Grateful to make a new friend and create music together. Really excited for the world to hear this song, it impossible to not love the vibes on this one!” -
