Momma Announces New Album “Welcome to My Blue Sky”, Shares New Song “I Want You (Fever)”
Brooklyn-based indie rock band Momma, consisting of Allegra Weingarten (vocals/guitar), Etta Friedman (vocals/guitar), Aron Kobayashi Ritch (bass) and Preston Fulks (drums), has announced their upcoming fourth studio album “Welcome to My Blue Sky” will be released on April 4, 2025 via Lucky Number and Polyvinyl.
The album comprises a 12-track, which was recorded at Studio G in Brooklyn and produced by Aron Kobayashi Ritch. This marks their first album in three years since “Household Name”.
Momma said, “Couldn't be happier to announce our 4th album, Welcome to My Blue Sky, will be out April 4th. The past three years have been some of the heaviest, most formative, and most exciting years of our lives. We've kept these stories close to the chest for many years, secrets shared between the two of us - and now we're sharing it with all of you.”
From the album, the band released a new song “I Want You (Fever)” on January 29, 2025.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Ohio All The Time” released last October.
It was written by Allegra Weingarten, Aron Kobayashi Ritch, and Etta Friedman. Accompanying music video was directed by Jaxon Whittington.- The band said of the song, “'I Want You (Fever)' is a song we wrote about wanting to be with someone who has a girlfriend, or someone who isn't over their ex. It's pining after someone, but there's also some confidence knowing that that person wants to be with you. The second we wrote that song we felt like we were entering a new era - we scrapped everything we had written for the album up to that point because it felt so fresh and so exciting.”
