  • Alison Krauss & Union Station Announce New Album “Arcadia”, Share New Song “Looks Like The End Of The Road”

  • American bluegrass band Alison Krauss & Union Station, consisting of Alison Krauss (vocals/fiddle), Ron Block (guitar), Russell Moore (vocals/guitar), Barry Bales (bass) and Jerry Douglas (dobro), are back.

The band announced their new album “Arcadia” will be released on March 28, 2025 via Down The Road Records.
The album is their first body of work in 14 years since the 2011 album “Paper Airplane”.
Also, it is the first release featuring new member Russell Moore.
From the album, the band released the first single called “Looks Like The End Of The Road” on January 29, 2025.
The song was written by Jeremy Lister, and produced by Alison Krauss & Union Station.

Alison Krauss said of the song, “Usually, I find something that's a first song, and then things fall into place. That song was 'Looks Like The End Of The Road.' Jeremy Lister wrote it, and it just felt so alive - and as always, I could hear the guys already playing it.”
  • The new album comprises 10 songs, self-produced by Alison Krauss & Union Station, and features a theme of reflection on the past.

Alison Krauss said of the album, “The stories of the past are told in this music. It's that whole idea of 'in the good old days when times were bad. There's so much bravery and valor and loyalty and dreaming, of family and themes of human existence that were told in a certain way when our grandparents were alive. Someone asked me, 'How do you sing these tragic tunes?' I have to. It's a calling. I feel privileged to be a messenger of somebody else's story. And I want to hear what happened.”
