The Lumineers Releases Two New Songs “You're All I Got” & “So Long”
American alt-folk band The Lumineers, consisting of Wesley Schultz (vocals/guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums), released two new songs “You're All I Got” and “So Long” on January 29, 2025.
Two songs were taken from their upcoming fifth studio album “Automatic”, which is set to be released on February 14, 2025 via Dualtone.
These were written and produced by The Lumineers, with production by David Baron and Simone Felice.
The band lead singer Wesley Schultz said of “You're All I Got”, “It's on the edge of where I can hit a note, so you feel that tension. When you're saying to someone, You're all I got, it carries that same raw emotion.”
He continued about “So Long”, “We truly did that song live, in the moment. I think there's a magic in there, and that's what you hear coming off that track.”- The new album comprises 11 songs, produced by The Lumineers, David Baron and Simone Felice.
The band recorded the album at Utopia Studio in Woodstock in under a month.
Wesley Schultz said of the album, “This album marks 20 years of songwriting between Jeremiah and me. The album explores some of the absurdities of the modern world, like the increasingly blurry line between what's real and what's not, and the variety of ways we numb ourselves while trying to combat both boredom and overstimulation.”
Drummer Jeremiah Fraites added, “The project feels very much of this era. A palpable sense of connection between Wes and me. There's lots of love on this record. People who think they have our number, they'll be surprised.” - source : Apple Music
