  • SIENNA SPIRO Announces Debut EP “SINK NOW, SWIM LATER”, Shares New Song “BUTTERFLY EFFECT”

  • London-based singer-songwriter SIENNA SPIRO has announced her upcoming debut EP “SINK NOW, SWIM LATER” will be released on February 21, 2025 via Capitol Records.

From the EP, she unveiled a new song “BUTTERFLY EFFECT” on January 24, 2025.
The song is the fifth single off of the EP. It was written by Jakob Rabtisch, Mary Weitz, and Sienna Sprio. Produced by Yakob.
The accompanying music visualizer was directed by Brandon Chen and SIENNA SPIRO.

SIENNA SPIRO said of the song, “'BUTTERFLY EFFECT' is the introduction track to my debut EP and really sets the emotional tone of the project," Sienna Spiro explains. "I created the track to have an unexpected climax and lack of structure to capture the unpredictability that mirrors 'the butterfly effect' concept and really tells the story of what this song is about. I'm so excited to be getting this out into the world and to share a collection of music I have been working on for such a long time.”
  • The EP comprises 8 songs, which SIENNA SPIRO worked with producers Yakob, J Moon, Fwdslxsh, Max Wolfgang, and Sol Was.

SIENNA SPIRO said of the EP, “I've put sooo much into this EP, this is an intimate project filled with stories I've experienced over the past 2 years. Through these songs I hope you can get to know me a little better, but also find your own meaning. Most of the songs are stripped and were written during a time of change-navigating the layers of being young and being a woman and experiencing the beginnings and endings of relationships in my life.”

  • She continued, “Whilst each of the songs have their own world and story, they all relate to the feeling of being on the outside. Whether it's the longing for validation, the desire to be needed and kept around, the pressure to change to be relevant, or escaping through fantasy.”

She added, “I know this is more formal than I usually am, but I don't know how else to describe it. I've struggled with expressing myself my whole life and I've been able to do that with these songs.”
