Avery Lynch Releases New Song “the boys who don't know what they want”
American singer-songwriter Avery Lynch released her brand new song “the boys who don't know what they want” on January 24, 2025.
The song explores the vulnerability and frustration of navigating relationships with indecisive men.
The track is the second single under her new label RECORDS, following “Rain” released last November.
She wrote the song as a sister-song to “you're just a guy” a year ago, which is featured on the 2023 EP “Friction VI”.
It was written by Avery Nichole Lynch, Jordan Adan Van Hecke, Steven David Rusch, and Neisha Grace. Produced by Steve Rusch.
Avery Lynch said of the song, “The title of the song really says it all. I wrote this song about those 'almost' relationships that I've been in myself and have observed around me - people will act the part of someone in a relationship while not wanting one, or they'll want a relationship and not act on it. I made this song as a sister-song to 'you're just a guy' and, just like that song, this doesn't feel specifically sad to me, it feels more matter-of-fact.
