Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Reli returned with a new song “Same Old Things” on January 24, 2025.
The song is her first music in three years since the 2022 song “Ask For Help”.
The track explores nostalgia, longing, and the bittersweet nature of moving forward while missing connections from the past.
Written by Reli during a period of detox, the song captures the complexity of mental health, balancing the ache of missed connections with the therapeutic power of creativity through emotive vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and piano melodies.
Reli said of the song, “Mental health can feel like a double-edged sword. On one side, there's nostalgia and longing, while on the other, there's the catharsis of creating something that captures that moment.”
