  • Coldplay Releases 44-Minute Short Film “A Film For The Future”

  • British rock band Coldplay, consisting of Chris Martin (vocals/keyboards/rhythm guitar), Jonny Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (bass) and Will Champion (drums), released a 44-minute visual companion to their tenth studio album “Moon Music”, titled “A Film For The Future” on January 22, 2025.

The creative process began in the summer of 2024, when more than 150 visual artists from 45 countries were given a handful of short Moon Music audio snippets and asked to create some accompanying visuals.
There were no rules or guidelines, and no knowledge of other artists' creations; each contribution was a raw reflection of their own style.

Coldplay said of the project, “We're very grateful to all the amazing artists who lent their genius to this film.”

Executive producer Ben Mor said, “A kaleidoscopic patchwork quilt and a 44-minute multimedia tapestry. It was a huge privilege to have the bird's eye view of such an ambitious project, working with so many incredible animators and filmmakers all working independently of each other. The final film is simply jaw-dropping and I can't wait for Coldplay's fans to see it.”
  • The album “Moon Music” was released last October and comprises 10 songs, featuring collaborations with Jon Hopkins, Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna and Tini.
Produced by Bill Rahko, Dan Green, Max Martin, Michael Ilbert, Jon Hopkins, Oscar Holter, Ilya, and The Chainsmokers
The album debuted at No. 1 on album charts around the world, including in the US, where it became Coldplay's fifth US No. 1 album.
