quickly, quickly Announces New Album “I Heard That Noise”, Shares New Song “Enything”
Portland-based singer-songwriter Graham Jonson, aka quickly, quickly has announced his upcoming album “I Heard That Noise” will be released on April 18, 2025.
The album is his first LP in four years since the 2021 album “The Long and Short of It”.
From the album, he released the first single called “Enything” along with a music video on January 22, 2025.
The track was written and produced by Graham Jonson.
Graham Jonson said of the song, “I wrote this song from a fictional place of dumb love. There is a place you can find yourself in where you are so infatuated with a person you would do anything to impress them, even to a fault, drastically changing yourself to match the idea of someone you barely know. That is what I tried to embody on this one.”- The accompanying video was directed by Graham Jonson.
He said of the video, “I found this horrifying rabbit mask at a thrift store in Portland and it had been sitting in my living room for a year or two, just looming over anyone who entered. It seemed only right to have my girlfriend wear it at my favorite abandoned spot in pdx and film it on a Panasonic handy cam - pure synchronicity!” -
The new album comprises a 11-track, which was written and produced by Graham Jonson.
Themes reach from recent experiences - a breakup followed by “periods of either being miserable or, like, living…trying to better myself” - to childhood memories.
Graham Jonson said of the album, “To see how much I could do with a song, specifically with production, without having a beat to it... there are moments with drums but it was more about the space in between. Experimenting with the idea of being comfortable, and then some crazy shit flies at you, takes you out of it for a second, and then maybe brings you back in.” - source : Apple Music
