Stela Cole Drops New Music Video for “God Loves You”
American singer-songwriter Stela Cole has dropped a new music video for “God Loves You” directed by longtime collaborator Maya Sassoon.
The song was released on January 10, 2025, as the second single, following “Blue Moon”, after the 2024 EP “IDWYB : The Prequel”.
The track was written by Hollyn Shadinger, and Mark Evans who also produced it.
Stela Cole said of the song, “I grew up in a Christian household, and while I've redefined what Christianity means to me and still consider myself to be very spiritual, I've seen the dangers of organized religion and been mistreated by people who abuse it. 'God loves you' is about exactly that.”
She added, “'God Loves You' is a very special song to me, and was written during a very painful time in my life. I hope this song can be there for anyone who needs it, even if it serves as a distraction for a mere moment.”- Stela Cole shared on social media on January 10, “The truth is, I don't know what to post in regard to this song coming out tonight. It feels wrong to promote something in any capacity while Los Angeles is experiencing its most destructive wildfires in its history. I haven't felt heartbreak like this in years... It's just grim. Stay safe everyone, prayers for LA. I love you all so, so much.”
