Wads Releases Debut Song “come here”
Danish R&B band Phlake's vocalist Mads Bo released his debut solo single “come here” as Wads on January 17, 2025.
The song will appear on his upcoming debut solo album, which is expected to be released this fall.
The track describe the human urge to break free from shyness and insecurity to act on intuition and desire.
It was written by andreas odbjerg, Awinbeh, Mads Bo Iversen, and Nature Boy. Produced by Awinbeh.
Mads Bo said of the song, “It's a song about daring to take initiative, about trusting that following your own instincts might just lead to something extraordinary. To me, 'come here' is the feeling of achieving the unattainable.”- In late 2022, Phlake was once again surfing the top of the charts in Denmark. However, Mads Bo was burnt out from stress, insomnia, and years of balancing his own and other people's expectations and the weight of constant demands.
With Phlake on a mutual hiatus, Mads Bo started his new project “wads”.
Mads Bo reminded, “I felt space-sick. Like I was waving at people from a distance, speaking through a glass helmet with distorted sound. It's weird how you often have to lose yourself to reconnect with the basics, and it was in this space, I realized, that I needed to come back to Earth and create a planet of my own.” -
