  • Lucy Dacus Announces New Album “Forever Is A Feeling”, Shares Two New Songs “Ankles” & “Limerence”

  • American singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus has announced her fourth studio album “Forever Is A Feeling” will be released on March 28, 2025 via Geffen Records.

This marks her first solo album in four years since the 2021 album “Home Video”. Also it is the first release since her Grammy winning band boygenius' 2023 debut album “The Record”.
The album comprises a 13-track, which has contributions from Boygenius bandmates, Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker, along with Hozier, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, Madison Cunningham, Collin Pastore, Jake Finch and Melina Duterte of Jay Som.
Most of the songs were written between fall 2022 and summer 2024.

Lucy Dacus said of the album, “I got kicked in the head with emotions. Falling in love, falling out of love. You have to destroy things in order to create things. And I did destroy a really beautiful life.”

She continued, “You can't actually capture forever, but I think we feel forever in moments. I don't know how much time I've spent in forever, but I know I've visited.”
  • From the album, Lucy Dacus released two new songs “Ankles” and “Limerence” on January 15, 2025.
“Ankles” is accompanied by a music video, which was directed by M. Amberson, featuring Havana Rose Liu.

Lucy Dacus told DAZED about “Ankles”, “'Ankles' is all about wanting something you can't have, particularly someone you can't have, and trying to figure out how to let off that steam so that it doesn't explode and blow up your life. And that phase where your mind is going crazy and you're imagining all these things, but you're restricting what you actually do and want, trying to have self-control. It's much more sexy than I usually go for, but it's a fun little bop.”

  • Lucy Dacus embarks on her headline tour in support of the album, alongside MUNA's Katie Gavin and Jasmine.4.T.
The tour kicks off at The Met in Philadelphia on April 16 and will conclude at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on May 14, 2025.
She partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 per ticket goes to those impacted by the LA wildfires.

Lucy Dacus said, “I'm going on tour with my dear friends Katie Gavin and Jasmine.4.T, first shows in over 2 years. I'm partnering with PLUS1 to donate a dollar from every ticket to the Plus1 LA Fires Fund, which splits donations between a bunch of groups committed to addressing immediate and long term aid and relief for those affected by the fires.”
