WILDES & St Francis Hotel Release New Song “In The Floodlight”
London-based singer-songwriter WILDES and Irish producer St Francis Hotel released a new song “In The Floodlight” on January 15, 2025.
The song is taken from their upcoming collaborative EP “Kopfkino”, following the title track and “Are You Gonna Speak?”.
The EP is set to be released on February 19, 2025.
The track is a stark, brooding slice of art-pop, investigating personal growth and discovery.
It was written by Declan Gaffney and Ella Walker. Produced by St Francis Hotel.
WILDES said of the song, “This song chronicles adolescence into adulthood, and the many versions of ourselves that live and die on the way to uncovering our true nature. Each verse represents a different period in my twenties, as I grew and fought against who I wanted to be, and who I was told I should be. Despite all of the experiences that change our outlook and values in life, there always remains a little seed of who we were in our youth, before life's complexities appear, and for me that is deeply reassuring.”- The EP delves into the mind's captivating power, exploring the spectrum of human experience from poignant introspection to exhilarating escapism.
WILDES said of the EP, “Though regularly collaborating for various projects, we chose to come together for this EP because of our shared experience and grounding in the emotive meaning behind the songs.
