better joy Announces Debut EP “heading into blue”, Premieres New Song “waiting on time” on BBC Radio 6
Manchester-based singer-songwriter Bria Keely, aka better joy has announced her upcoming debut EP “heading into blue” will be released on March 28, 2025.
The EP comprises 6 songs, produced by Mike Hedges.
From the EP, she premiered a new song “waiting on time” on BBC Radio 6 Music with Chris Hawkins.
The song showcase her personal experiences through her candid and autobiographical lyrics about life. It was written about her own mental challenges and the importance of having time to heal.
The track was written by Andy Dunlop, Bria Keely, Jamie Ford, and Mike Champion. Produce by Mike Hedges.
better joy said of the song, “waiting on time at its core is about going through mental challenges and losing yourself in the process, and the healing process that comes after. For me, it takes time to feel like myself again after I’ve gone through something difficult, and this one is just about the wait and the inevitability that I will find myself again. When I’ve been at my lowest, it’s hard to see through the fog of it all so I wanted this song to be a reminder to myself - and in general - that if you do all the right things to get yourself out of the rut, the fog can clear, it’ll just take some time.”- She shared on social media, “I feel like I reaaaally needed to write this song, it’s a kind of love letter to yourself when you’re in a rut and just waiting for yourself to get out and come back! It just makes me feel alive and empowered!!”
