The Yets Releases New Song “Enemy”
Myrtle Beach-based alt-rock duo The Yets, consisting of Craig Anderson Snook (guitar/produce) and Robin Wilson (vocals), release a new song “Enemy” along with a music video on January 8, 2025.
The song is the third and final pre-release single from their upcoming debut album “Pinup Girl”, which is set to be released on February 7, 2025.
The track represents overcoming destructive forces that lie within, revolving around internal conflict, self-destruction, and the battle against one's own darker impulses.
It was written by and Robin Wilson, and Craig Anderson Snook who also produced the track.
The accompanying video was directed by The Yets themselves.
The band lead singer Robin Wilson said of the song, “Realizing your greatest adversary is yourself presents something we all confront at some point. The idea of being one's 'own worst enemy' is central; entrapment in a vicious cycle of self-sabotage and isolation.”- She continued, “Lyrically exploring the intoxicating allure of solitude, dancing alone symbolizes both freedom and self-deception. Meanwhile, lurking in the background is the ever-present enemy within waiting to resurface, stronger perhaps than ever before. Plagued by internal warfare forged of past fears and tendencies, corrosive thoughts haunt us even as we attempt to break free from our former selves, now feeling distant and ghost-like.”
The album comprises 12 songs, which the band recorded at 3's in Myrtle Beach, produced by Craig Anderson Snook. -
