Spark of Life Releases New Song “IN PURSUIT OF”
Los Angeles-based post-hardcore band Spark of Life, consisting of Steve Jennings (vocals), Nicholas Piscitello (guitar), Steve Sain (guitar), Chris Sprat (bass) and Anthony Piscitello (drums), released their brand new single called “IN PURSUIT OF” on January 2, 2025.
The song is the third single off of their upcoming sophomore album “Plagued By The Human Condition”, which is expected to be released in early 2025 via New Age Records.
The track was written by Spark of Life, and produced by Bruce Robb.
The song turns an instantly memorable heartland rock riff into a devastatingly sung admission of regret and loss.
The band frontman Steve Jennings said of the song, “Matters of the heart are always risky. 'In Pursuit Of' is about knowing those risks and deciding to chase the love your heart wants anyway…even though it might break in the end”- The new album is their first LP in 22 years since the 2003 debut album “Promises Made. Promises Kept.”.
The band recorded the album at Cherokee Studios with producer Bruce Robb. The album features American punk band Trenchmouth's Fred Armisen on drums.
“Plagued By The Human Condition” is a body of work rife with both musical and personal transformation. It’s not how the songs on the album sound as much as the emotional weight that they carry that shows the real progression the band has gone through since its humble beginnings a quarter century ago. -
