Panda Bear Releases New Song “Ferry Lady”
Lisbon-based singer-songwriter and American experimental pop band Animal Collective member Noah Lennox, aka Panda Bear released a new song “Ferry Lady” on January 6, 2025.
The song is the second single off of his upcoming solo album “Sinister Grift”, which is set to be released on February 28, 2025.
Panda Bear worked with producer and Animal Collective bandmate Josh Dibb on the track, as with the previous song “Defense”, which was released last October, featuring Cindy Lee on guitar.
The accompanying music video was directed by Danny Perez.
The new album is his first solo project in six years since the 2019 album “Buoys” and comprises 10 songs.
Panda Bear recorded the album with Josh Dibb in his Lisbon home studio.
Also, he worked with all of Animal Collective bandmates for the first time on a Panda Bear solo album.- Co-producer Josh Dibb said, “Working on this record felt like a sacred and warm return. Noah and I first started putting music down to multitrack cassette in 1991. 32 years later and working in the same fashion, two friends alone in a room searching for sounds and feelings that move us, I am very proud of what we created together. Sinister Grift feels like the songwriter I've known for over 30 years but also feels like some sort of new chapter for Noah.”
