  • Marc Scibilia Releases New Album “More To This”

  • Nashville-based singer-songwriter Marc Scibilia released his fourth studio album “More To This” on November 15, 2024 via Good Lander Records.

The album comprises 14 songs, including a cover of The Verve's 1997 “Bitter Sweet Symphony”, and features a guest appearance from American country music singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress.
He recorded and produced the album at his home studio in Nashville.
When he wrote the album title track earlier in 2024, he felt starting his creative journey for the album.

Marc Scibilia said of the album, “Earlier this year, my five year old daughter started asking me about death. One morning as I was heading to the studio, I was so overcome with emotion, I stopped in the stairwell in my garage with tears in my eyes. I took out my guitar and wrote a song in 20 minutes that would resonate with people all over the world and change my life. Once I saw the impact of 'More To This', I realized it could be more than just a song. And instead, the beginning of a body of work. That song sent me on a creative journey that would last the better part of a year and turn into this album.”
  • He continued, “I treat making music like any other job. I show up to the studio at nine and I leave at five. It is still crazy to me that day in and day out, I get to write songs, find sounds, and if I'm lucky, put it all together into something that becomes a soundtrack to people's lives. For this album, I didn't have a goal or a destination in mind. I just wanted to create snapshots of where I currently am, what I'm going through, and the things that are rattling around my brain.”

He said, “Past, present, future, and it felt like the more present I was, the less I had to write these songs. I would just keep my eyes open, live my life, and they would show up. I'm so grateful that at this point in my career, I'm surrounded by an amazing community of creative people. so I called a few of them to help me get some of these songs across the line when I'd get stumped and didn't know what to do next.”

He added, “This album is about those pieces in life that don't fit neatly the shots you barely miss the moments that break your heart make you feel alone, but somehow bring us all together. I hope you love it.”

  • Marc Scibilia explained about some tracks for the album.

    “One Day”
“I spend so much time focusing on the future… Future plans, dreams, fears, you know what I mean, the big one day… This song is about the moment, letting it all unfold one day at a time.”

    “Halfway There”
“I wrote this song about believing something about yourself that maybe no one else does. It's about knowing where you're going when you look lost from the outside. I wrote this song simply as a reminder to myself to keep going.
This song is the story that's behind me and the one that's ahead. It's about our dreams that come true and the ones haven't yet. It's been my story most of my life.
A lot of times I work alone but sometimes I get to work with the best people in the world.”

    “More To This”
“The internet is a weird place… we post our highlights and hide our humanity. But somehow one of the heaviest questions I've ever had to answer, when my 5 year old daughter asked me about death, turned into a moment of inspiration on my basement stairwell and an introduction to so many of you. The loneliness I felt that day echoed into a beautiful new world where all of us connected about something so universal.”

    “Wide Right Town”
“Growing up in Buffalo, NY, I often felt like my life mirrored those near wins we heard about—so close, but not quite there. This song is really coming to life, thanks to some amazing friends Scott Mulvahill.”

“Good As Gone” featuring Ingrid Andress
“This is one of my favorite songs I've ever written and it features one of my favorite artists Ingrid Andress. If I ever hoped one of my songs inspired a viral line dance, it's this one.”

    “So Long”
“This is called 'so long'. Chorus gonna go hard on tour.”

    “Moments Like This”
“I'm not gonna lie... it's a bit different than this live version. I hope u still love it. I love seeing the reels of your beautiful lives to this song. It's strangely emotional even tho I've yet to meet many of you. I wrote it about the moments in life when you realize, even if just for a brief second, how beautiful it is and how fast it all goes by. I wanted to write a song that felt like a sunset, a graduation, a first kiss... a moment you want to hold onto.”

    “Birds”
“I was on IG live when someone commented on the birds in the background... So I started writing this.”

    “Human” Basement Sessions
“Juggling rehearsing for tour and finishing new songs. Been sitting on this one for a while now. Not sure when it's coming out but it's getting close.”

    “Bittersweet Symphony”
“Up until a year go I had only release 1 or 2 covers throughout my entire career, but since you guys created an astronomical amount of reels to this, u kind forced me to release the whole thing ha.”

    “Come So Far”
“Was walking to the studio this morning, had this idea... super rough but wanted to share.”
