Morgan Wallen Releases New Song “Smile”
American country music singer-songwriter Morgan Wallen surprise-released a new song “Smile” on December 31, 2024.
The song continues a theme established by the previous singles “Lies Lies Lies” and “Love Somebody”, released in July and October, respectively, as the narrator navigates life’s little moments and longings.
The lyrics depicts a relationship as we see them today through filtered snapshots.
It was written by Ernest Keith Smith, John Byron, Morgan Wallen, Rocky Block, and Ryan Vojtesak. Produced by Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome.
The accompanying music video was directed by Justin Clough.- The previous single “Love Somebody” reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the US Hot Country Songs charts.
This result marks he become the first artist to have three singles, including “Last Night” and “I Had Some Help” with Post Malone sit atop the Billboard 100 and Hot Country Songs charts simultaneously.
Also, “I Had Some Help” was nominated for Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
The ceremony will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025. -
