Nightbirde Releases New Song “Empire” featuring Konata Small
The late American singer-songwriter Jane Kristen Marczewski, aka Nightbirde's new song “Empire was released on December 27, 2024.
The song is the follow-up to “Still Got Dreams”, which was released earlier this month.
Both songs will appear on her upcoming posthumous album “Still Got Dreams”, which is set to be released on February 20, 2025.
This time, the track features South Florida-based rapper Konata Small.
The track was written during her battle with cancer and following a devastating divorce.
The song captures Nightbirde's unyielding grit and determination to rise above life's toughest challenges, and tells of overcoming obstacles and building a future filled with purpose.
It was written by Jane Kristen Marczewski and Konata Small.- Nightbirde auditioned on America's Got Talent in 2021, where she received a Golden Buzzer for her original song “It's OK”.
But she withdrew from the the AGT competition due to a breast cancer. She was told that the cancer had metastasized to her lungs, spine and liver, with only a 2% chance of survival.
On February 19, 2022, Jane Kristen Marczewski passed away, at the age of 31.
After her death, her family created the Nightbirde Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit that helps encourage and support women with breast cancer.
All proceeds from “Empire” will benefit the Nightbirde Foundation, supporting women fighting breast cancer. - source : Apple Music
