Italian electronic band Planet Funk, consisting of Alex Neri (DJ/keyboard), Marco Baroni (keyboard), Domenico “GG” Canu (guitar), Alex Uhlmann (vocals/guitar) and Dan Black (vocals), is back. The band released a reimagined version of British progressive rock band The Moody Blues' “Nights In White Satin” along with a music video on December 27, 2024.
It is their first single in a year and four months since the 2023 single “Any Given Day”.
The original version of the song was released by Moody Blues as the first single from their second studio album “Days of Future Passed” in 1967. Also, it was re-released in 1972. The re-release version reached No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 9 on the UK Singles chart. The single has sold over 1.4 million copies in the US and UK.
The track was written by Justin Hayward. The cover version was produced Planet Funk.
The accompanying music video was directed by Dario Albertini.- The band said of the song, “Nights in White Satin is finally here. We've been waiting for this moment just like you - now it's your turn. In the language of flowers, a bouquet can express love, admiration, or even apologies without uttering a word.”
