Colt Releases New Song “Demi-mot”
Belgian electro-pop duo Colt, consisting of Coline Debry (vocals/guitar) and Antoine Jorissen (keyboard), released their brand new song “Demi-mot” on December 13, 2024.
The song is the their third single of 2024 and caps off the year.
On December 19, they dropped a music video for the song, directed by Benjamin Gelder.
The song tells the story of the band lead singer Coline Debry's grandfather.
The track was written by Antoine Jorissen, Charline Flammang, Coline Debry, Justin Desmet, Lucas Simon, and Nicolas Khelif. Produced by Gaspard.
Coline Debry said of the song, “I've never been so moved while recording a song. 'Demi-mot' tells the story of death. But above all, it tells the story of courage. That of my grandfather who took care of the love of his life until the end. After all these long years without her by his side. And finally the ones where the rest of the family took over to take care of him. There is a lot of pain but also sweetness in these moments.”- She continued, “Time passes, I learn from those who were there before me. I would like to give as much as they gave me. 'Demi-mot' is my grief, that of my grandfather, and all those to come. May this song offer you a little tenderness.”
