SZA Releases New Album “SOS Deluxe: LANA”
American singer-songwriter SZA released a new album “SOS Deluxe: LANA” on December 24, 2024 via Top Dawg Entertainment and RCA Records.
The album is the deluxe version of her sophomore album “SOS”, which was released in 2022.
The expanded edition comprises a 38-track, including the original 23 songs and 15 new songs, featuring a guest appearance from American rapper Kendrick Lamar.
SZA wrote and recorded over 100 songs for “SOS” over a five-year period and continued to make music after its release specifically for “LANA”.
Back in February, SZA told The Hollywood Reporter about “LANA” at the 2024 Grammy Awards, “I feel like I want to allow it to finish shaping itself and form itself before I speak on it and possibly change the trajectory of what it could be. But, I will say, I'm in a beautiful space creatively and I feel just very new.”
On the album, SZA worked with producers, such as Rob Bisel, Benny Blanco, Cade, Calvin Dickinson, Cashmere Cat, Iseeyou, Omer Fedi, Julian Fried, J. White Did It, Tyler Johnson, Carter Lang, Lil Yachty, Nick Lee, Billy Lemos, Declan Miers, Monsune, Sad Pony, Scum, Blake Slatkin, Solomonophonic, ThankGod4Cody, and Michael Uzowuru.- SZA told British Vogue about “SOS Deluxe: LANA”, “I think I am making music from a more beautiful place. From a more possible place versus a more angsty place. I'm not identifying with my brokenness. It's not my identity. It's shit that happened to me. Yeah, I experienced cruelty. I have to put it down at some point. Piece by piece, my music is shifting because of that, the lighter I get.”

Also, SZA plans to release new mixes of tracks from “SOS Deluxe: LANA”.
