Customs Releases New Song “Are You There? (2025)”
Belgian post-punk band Customs, consisting of Kristof Uittebroek (vocals/guitar), Jelle Janse (guitar), Joan Govaerts (bass) and Yannick De Clerck (drums), is back after a six-year hiatus.
And then, the ban has released a new song on the 23rd of every month since October 2024.
On December 23, the band released a new single “Are You There? (2025)” along with a live video.
The song is a rework of “Are You There?”, which is featured on their 2018 album “Magik”.
The track is about taking time to let go of a loved one who has passed away.
It was written and produced by Kristof Uittebroek.
The live video was directed by Sander De Geyter, who filmed at their'Guess who's Back' party in DE KELDR.- The band said of the song, “When we decided to perform this song live a few months ago, we and the fans liked this 'guitar version' so much that we decided to record it in the studio. The lyrics are about mourning, about visiting the grave of someone who recently passed away and is greatly missed, about how that 'proximity' still seems to offer the first-person narrator some comfort.”
