SZA Releases New Music Video for “Drive” starring Ben Stiller
American singer-songwriter SZA released a new music video for “Drive” ahead of the release of her new album “SOS Deluxe: LANA” on December 20, 2024.
The new album is the deluxe edition of her sophomore album “SOS”, which was released in 2022.
The video was directed by Bradley J. Calder, starring American actor Ben Stiller.
SZA previously teased Ben Stiller's appearance in the video earlier this week on her Instagram.
The end of the video previewed the next song “Crybaby” with SZA as bug-like alien.
SZA is known as a big fan of Ben Stiller's psychological mystery drama “Severance”.
Before the release of the video, SZA tweeted, “Was tryna be polite but I really need a new season of severance right the fuck now.”
Ben Stiller responded, “Ok ok got it.”
SZA answered, “Omg please accept my humble apology 🥹 lmao whenever ur ready is fine 😩just dying of thirst it's the best show ever! ur a madman 🫡 THANK U mr stiller king sir !”- Last year, SZA told Variety about the deluxe edition, “It was gonna be ['SOS'] outtakes and some new songs, but it's become more than I expected. It was gonna be really soft, because I had made all my screaming points, and I just wanted to glide and not think [too much] and get out of my own head - I was so happy to say some shit that didn't mean a fucking thing.”
