Twin Shadow Releases New Song “As Soon As You Can”
Back in October, Dominican-American singer-songwriter Twin Shadow announced his upcoming sixth studio album “Georgie” would be released on March 14, 2025 via his own label Cheree Cheree.
It is his first album in four years since the 2021 self-titled album “Twin Shadow”.
From the album, he released the first single called “As Soon As You Can” on December 11, 2024.
The track was written and produced by Twin Shadow, and directed the accompanying music video, which marks his directorial debut.
Twin Shadow said of the song, “A time is passing, a relationship is ending, you can feel it. You want the person to just say how they really feel & get it over with. You want to share a common truth no matter how bad it hurts.”- He continued, “This music represents the most thorough history lesson on where I've been as an artist, uncle, lover, friend, and human being. It offers what I believe is the rawest perspective on my life. In a world where so little feels real, I will continue delving into the deeply personal in the hope that it provides a mirror, a scope, or a lens into your own lives.”

The new album comprises a 11-track, produced by Twin Shadow.
He said of the album, “I've ditched traditional labels, agents, management, and drums for this record. 'Georgie' is my most stripped down body of work yet - at this point in my life and career, nothing matters more than my deepest, darkest, and brightest feelings. The album art features my father George's signature. I had him scrawl it hundreds of times in a notebook, and I ended up choosing the very first one. At the time, I had no idea my father would pass away just a few months later. Aside from the large drawing we once did together, which now hangs on my mother's dining room wall, this is my favorite collaboration with him.
