Imagine Dragons Releases New Version of “Take Me To The Beach” featuring Ado
American pop rock band Imagine Dragons, consisting of Dan Reynolds (lead vocals), Wayne Sermon (guitars) and Ben McKee (bass), teamed up with Japanese singer-songwriter Ado to release a new version of “Take Me To The Beach” on December 16, 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between Imagine Dragons and Ado.
In addition to this version, the band has released other versions of the song featuring Congolese-French singer Jungeli, Italian rapper Ernia, and Australian rapper Baker Boy, so far.
Ado has not shared her real identity or shown her face, and is instead represented by an animated character.
The original version of the song is featured on their sixth studio album “LOOM”, which was released back in June.
The track was written by Ben McKee, Dan Reynolds, Mattias Larsson, Robin Lennart Fredriksson, and Wayne Sermon. Produced by Mattman & Robin.
The band said of the song, “Our last international feature for Take Me to the Beach is with the very talented Ado.”- The new album comprises 9 songs, produced by Imagine Dragons and longtime collaborators Mattman & Robin.
It marks the first release as a trio after drummer Daniel Platzman left the band in August 2024.
The band frontman Dan Reynolds said of the album, We have been working on it quietly for the last couple years. I found myself lost in a wave of emotions and didn’t know how to express them. But as always, music provided a space for that. And the studio gave me a place of refuge and a non judgmental ear.” -
He continued, “With my best friends by my side we worked on this record. I felt free to say everything I needed to say. I hope that it brings you the same sort of solace it brought me. Whatever you may need. I hope that it makes you feel. Anything. Something. Anger. Happiness. Gratitude. Heartbreak. Joy. Peace. Nostalgia.” - source : Apple Music
