Biig Piig Releases New Song “Ponytail”
London-based Irish singer-songwriter Biig Piig released the fourth single called “Ponytail” from her upcoming debut album “11:11” on December 13, 2024.
The album is set to be released February 7, 2025 via Sony Music.
The track was written by Biig Piig and Lloyd Macdonald. Produced by her longtime collaborator Mac Wetha.
The accompanying music visualiser was directed by Freddie Cattaneo. The video is a Episode Seven of the 11-part series of the album. Each episode contains a dedicated storyline written by and starring Biig Piig.
Biig Piig said of the song, “I was thinking about the feeling of tied to someone and wanting to break the cycle, but not being able to, and kind of admitting defeat. It's a bit of a sad banger. Crying at the club: my favourite thing to do!”- The debut album comprises 11-songs, produced by Zach Nahome, Andrew Wells, Maverick Sabre, Mac Wetha, Surkin, and Jonny Coffer.
Biig Piig said of the album, “The tracks on this record have been written through the last couple years it's such a reflection to me of how much has happened. The highs and lows, love and loss through it all we dance regardless. I wanted to make a project that felt like a place you could do the same. I'd love to think that some of these songs could do for you what they did for me when I was writing, could bring comfort, sparking memories or just soundtracking moments.” - source : Apple Music
