Gracie Abrams Performs “That's So True” & “I Love You, I'm Sorry” on Saturday Night Live
American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams appeared on Saturday Night Live to perform “That's So True” and “I Love You, I'm Sorry”.
This marks her debut on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest.
“That's So True” is one of four additional tracks in the deluxe version of her sophomore album “The Secret of Us”, which was released in October.
The track was written by Gracie Abrams and Audrey Hobert. Produced by Gracie Abrams, Aaron Dessner, and Julian Bunetta.
She first performed the song during her Secret of Us tour.
Gracie Abrams revealed that there's an alternate, “very vulgar” of the song at Spotify's “You're Invited, I'm Sorry: An Evening with Gracie Abrams” event. She said, “Yeah, there's a whole, very vulgar version... that will never see the light of day!”- “I Love You, I'm Sorry” is featured on the standard edition of her sophomore album, which was released back in June.
The track was written by Gracie Abrams, Aaron Dessner and Audrey Hobert. Produced by Gracie Abrams and Aaron Dessner.
She said of the song, “I had just made a plan to hang and talk with my ex-boyfriend, who I used to write lots of songs about. It had been, like, two years. Like, having never run into each other, you know, no real communication. And then immediately, I was just like, okay, it would be nice if we can make this song feel like there are chapters to it, where it's like, we're not just living in one tiny moment, but we're like past, present, future.” -
Gracie Abrams was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with “Us” at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
“Us” features American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, which is included on her sophomore album.
The ceremony will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025. - source : NBC
