Ashley Elle Releases Debut EP “Say Something”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Ashley Elle released her debut EP “Say Something” on December 13, 2024.
The EP comprises 7 songs, produced by Josh Lovell, Adam of Saint Victor, Jamie McLaughlin, and Lucky West.
This collection displays the euphoric intensity of romance in all its complexity. With haunting melodies, lush arrangements, and deeply resonant lyrics, Ashley Elle delivers a raw and relatable exploration of love's most universal themes
Each track on the EP combines Ashley Elle's signature blend of dreamy folk-inspired storytelling with the enthralling textures of alt-pop.
Ashley Elle said of the EP, “Ever since I was a little girl, it's been my dream to create music. For the past year I've been working on this project and I am so happy it's finally going to be out. This project has 7 songs. 7 songs that talk through love, heartbreak and pain. These songs were journal entries turned to voice memos and then demos that I'd listen to repeatedly while driving in the car. Bringing them to life with the help of so many talented individuals was such a beautiful and rewarding process.”- She added, “'Say Something' taps on the feelings of a twenty-something year old experiencing lust, love, heartbreak and pain. I hope you can find a little bit of comfort listening through.”

Ashley Elle explained about some tracks for the EP.
“Say Something”
“'Say Something' is an upbeat, flirty song about knowing someone may be interested in you. It's your way of wanting them to say something about it rather than dance around those feelings.”
“Falling”
“'Falling' is a song about that initial wonder you have for a person; you almost feel like you're floating. It's an unexpected feeling of lust that comes simultaneously with a feeling of caution."
“Save Us”
“'Save Us' represents the messiness and complexities of love and relationships. It highlights how oftentimes one person is more committed to (or interested in) the relationship than the other and unfortunately, that is not enough to save it.”
“One More Night”
“'One More Night' is a song for those who feel trapped within the push and pull of a toxic relationship. It's the realization that just because you may love somebody deeply, doesn't mean that person is good for you. Learning how to let them go while being blinded by love is one of the hardest things to do.” - source : Apple Music
