Aloe Blacc Announces New Album “Stand Together”, Shares New Song “Don't Go Alone”
American singer-songwriter and rapper Aloe Blacc has announced his upcoming sixth studio album “Stand Together” will be released on February 28, 2025.
The album is his first body of work in 5 years since the 2020 album “All Love Everything”.
This time, he teamed up with the charity of the same name, with every song on the album is paired with a philanthropic cause.
From the album, he released a new song “Don't Go Alone” on December 13, 2024.
He first performed the song on ABC Good Morning America.
The song is an anthem inspired by the African proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”.
Also, the track is inspired by the mission of The Phoenix, national sober active community that provides free, active, and meaningful programming to anyone impacted by substance use.
The track was written by Aloe Blacc, and Oak Felder who also produced it.
Aloe Blacc said of the song, “This is the perfect song to lead this project because it reminds us of the power of connection and community.”- The new album weaves universal themes of hope, collaboration, and community and comprises 12 songs, including reimagining Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On”, and features collaborations with Stargate, Oak Felder, DJ Khalil and Hunter Hayes.
Also it features Daddy Told Me So” and “One Good Thing”, both inspired by the late Harry Belafonte, advocating for vigilance and peace in the fight for justice.
