Ben Barnes Releases New Song “Nevermind”
British actor and singer-songwriter Ben Barnes will release his upcoming debut album “Where the Light Gets In” on January 10, 2025 via Kartel Music Group.
The album comprises 12 songs, featuring a guest appearance from American singer-songwriter Monica Martin.
These songs showcase all Ben's innate hopefulness and a perspective earned through lived experience.
His personal hope for the record is that it encourages “clarity when life feels sombre, empowers you in the face of pain or vulnerability, and makes you feel lovable when the world tries to tell you that you're not enough”.
From the album, he released a new song “Nevermind” on December 6, 2024.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Beloved” released last month.
It navigates anxiety and instances of being lost in deep thought.
The track was written by Ben Barnes, Griffin Emerson, Kevin Burke, and Nathan Fertig. Produced by Sam Farrar, Paul Hammy Hamilton, and Kevin Burke.
The accompanying music video was directed by Christian Coulson.- Ben Barnes said of the song, “'Nevermind' is a song about anxiety and the various ways to try to soothe that shaking feeling in your stomach that can't be ignored. When all you can do is focus on breathing and the ground under you. It's about the stories we tell ourselves, the beginnings we re-write, the endings we rose-tint and the fantasies we project before coming back to the truth, back to the ground you're lying on.”
