  • bby ivy Releases New EP “Closing Chapters”

  • London-based Norwegian singer-songwriter bby ivy released her brand new EP “Closing Chapters” on December 6, 2024.

The EP comprises 7 songs, produced by bby ivy and Andysocialclub. All songs were written by Viktoria Reitan, and co-written with Issey Moloney on “Switched Up”.
The EP is a transformative body of work that chronicles her emotional journey through heartbreak, betrayal, and eventual closure.
On the track, she delves into themes of love and loss, inspired by the end of a significant relationship.

bby ivy said of the EP, “The tracks capture the raw, complex emotions that come with betrayal and healing. It's deeply personal, but I hope it resonates with anyone currently experiencing heartbreak.”

She continued, “This EP feels like the closing of one chapter and the beginning of something new. 2025 will be about stepping into my power, embracing unapologetic confidence, and exploring new sounds,”
  • bby ivy said of her music, “I guess there was a part of me already as a young kid that felt so strongly about putting the music I had in me out to the world, and entertaining people with music the same way my dad, uncle, and grandpa always did.”

  • She shared on social media, “My ears turn red when I stat crying. Reason why I got so emotional is cause I red one of the reviews for my EP. You create something and you don't know if anyone's gonna like it at all and then you get a review like this. I don't know why I'm so emotional. It's just I write a lot of songs and I release a lot of songs and it's amazing getting feedback. From you, I just feel like I haven't been appreciated professionally like in music media and stuff and reading this was just like amazing. I'm just very emotional today. So happy you guys love the EP and I literally put everything into this the fact that it made it on to New Music Friday UK, New Music Friday Sweden and Norway and was placed pretty high in these lists. I'm just so happy and love you guys, thank you, thank you everything. My ears are red cause I've been crying.”
