Vikki Minor Releases New Song “The Labyrinth”
Toronto-based alt-rock singer-songwriter Vikki Minor released a new song “The Labyrinth” on November 29, 2024.
The song is the follow-up to “COOL”, which was released back in June.
The track is inspired by gothic fairytales and the grunge music, exploring themes of depression and resilience.
It is deeply personal, using the metaphor of a dark, gothic maze as a way to process her own struggles with depression.
The track was written by Ava Janzen, and Zachary Zanardo who also produced it.
Vikki Minor said of the song, “'The Labyrinth' was my way of conveying a dark time in my life through the lens of a mythical place. The metaphorical lyricism and intense melodies I get to belt out in the song is really cathartic. It’s a way to process emotions while creating something that’s deeply personal yet universal.”- She shared on social media, “A dark fantasy grunge song about depression? my first alt-rock/grunge tune ahhhhhh!!!! wrote this song with the insanely cool Zachary Zanardo and can’t believe it’s finally OUT.”
