Coldplay Performs “ALL MY LOVE” on The Graham Norton Show
British rock band Coldplay, consisting of Chris Martin (vocals/keyboards/rhythm guitar), Jonny Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (bass) and Will Champion (drums), appeared on The Graham Norton Show to perform “ALL MY LOVE”.
This marks the third time the band has been the musical performer on The Graham Norton Show.
The song is featured on their latest album “Moon Music”, which was released back in October.
The track was written by Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, John Metcalfe, Jonny Buckland, Moses Martin, and Will Champion. Produced by Bill Rahko, Daniel Green, ILYA, Max Martin, Michael Ilbert, and Oscar Holter.
After The Graham Norton Show, the band premiered a new music video for the song on December 6, 2024.
The video featured American actor Dick Van Dyke and was directed by Spike Jonze and Mary Wigmore, who filmed at Van Dyke's Malibu home.- Dick Van Dyke said in Jimmy Kimmel Live, “They said, 'Chris Martin called'. I said, 'Who?'... To tell you the truth, I didn't know who he was.”
Chris Martin quipped, “I didn't know who you were either. I said, 'We're looking for an old guy. Who's the oldest guy?'”
He continued, “One day a few years ago, I asked if he would come and have breakfast with me and my kids, and he was very kind. He came with his beautiful wife Arlene.” - The new album is as the second part of their Music of the Spheres project, the first being the 2021 album “From Earth with Love”.
Three editions of the album were released: “Notebook, Tour” and “Full Moon”.
“Notebook, Tour” comprises 10 songs, which recorded during the Music of the Spheres World Tour, featuring guest appearances from H.E.R. and BTS.
“Full Moon” comprises a 10-track, including six new songs. Especially, the new music video for “The Karate Kid” featured American actor Ralph Macchio, who stared the 2018 film “The Karate Kid”.
Ralph Macchio said, “The first place it came from was my son, who's a massive Coldplay fan. We've been to shows before, so he just, he said, 'Dad, you hear about this Coldplay karate kid? People are telling me that there's something. He was in Brooklyn. Chris Martin was in Brooklyn. A thing on Instagram.' And all of a sudden I started hearing it and someone else sent me a text, you know that they wrote a song? And I'm trying to process. If this was now was this, you know, trying to do the math. It couldn't have been 40 years ago. It's probably 6 or 7 years old. So I just, I was, so I just took a look, as I'm a big fan of and I've always been and of Chris's, I mean, and so it was like, it was surreal for the moment. And I just, logged on to, I guess, Instagram. And I saw the video that, that Coldplay put up of him doing the song for the first time in Brooklyn. And I was just, taken by the by the melody of the song. The beauty of it, just even just hearing but I found to be really profound lyrics. I then I ran over to YouTube to see, is this out yet? And it was, there was a, I guess, what is considered a lyric video, the moon music and bonus track, and I'm doing the deep dive into when was this done? Because I'm it felt very much like, you know, the inspiration from the source material which is a movie, I made in a 41 year ago.” - source : BBC
